The Convention Historical House Museum

It is a historical museum and a heritage of the nation- It is diagonally opposite the San Francisco’s church. Its walls are made ​​of mud and there is a big yard with different kinds of flowers and a beautiful fountain but they are not the original ones; also there are six rooms, in each room  we can find some amazing things as we explain below. The first room is called The Convention, there are documents and files about Rionegro’s history, Juan Del Corral statue and copy of the 1863 Constitution of Colombia. The Colonial’s room is the second room and there are pictures of heroes that participated in the independence of Rionegro and objects  that belong to them like furniture and a picture of San Nicolas, who is the patron saint of Rionegro. In the third room, there are national symbols such as flags and , that is the Independence room. In the fourth room, The Municipal Press is placed, this is an ancient manual press and it was so difficult to use because it has boxes for each letter and many types of letters. In the last two rooms, the second largest department file is located, there are 1333 books and several pictures of famous people of Rionegro.

This is the old sacristy of the cathedral, it is located in the central park. In this moment,  the museum  is one of the richest and most important of Colombia. There are pictures, sculptures, books and the crown of Simón Bolivar. For those who love art and want to make jewelry by hand based on religious beliefs, this museum is perfect for them and for whoever  wants to feel like in a catholic-like heaven. The museum opens its doors on sunday from 2 p:m to 5 p:m.

It is located on the road that leads to Llanogrande and San Antonio, near the Somer Hospital.There you can know about Antioquia families, typical characters, farms, crafts, food, and sweets. This is a place for fun for the whole family!  it is one of the best Rionegro's recreational parks because it has many attractions,pools and large green areas. In Comfama there are many swimming pools, in some of them people has swimming lessons and there is an spectacular pool for children called “waterworld”. children enjoy there because it is as a little town where there are many slides, tunnels and a playground. each swimming pool is monitored for a life guard. People enjoy to visit this place because there are mechanical attractions, such  an airplane, called Icarus, a megadrop, chicago wheel, locomotive train, bumper cars, and children’s rides. furthermore, sports venues, restaurants, a convention hall, a lot of nature trails, and much more.Visitors of the park will also find Tutucán Town that is one of the most representative attractions at the park, where people enjoy artistic shows; it is a replica of a typical Antioquia town.it includes traditional spaces such as houses, a church and a central park. Comfama open its doors from wednesday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays  9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
